Hi Don and Lucy – reading of your travels through Central America reminded me of “The First Tycoon” a biography of the life of Cornelis Vanderbilt – in particular his establishing a trade route across Nicaragua / Panama before a route was found through the Rockies and the construction of the Panama Canal. A great read if you can find it.
